11 superfoods that will boost your health

Superfoods are very popular these days, especially among the healthy conscious vegans, vegetarians, a natural food advocates.

The term “superfoods” originally popped up back in the 80’s and it was referred to foods who are packed with superior health benefits. They are packed with nutrients that are in higher amounts of concentrate than a normal produce, such as: vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, essential fatty acids and polyphenols.

Consuming them on regular basis provides many health benefits such as:
– Reducing the risk of chronic diseases

– Reducing the signs of ageing

– Reducing Inflammation in the body

– Lowering cholesterol

– Lowering blood pressure

– Protecting the organs form toxins

– Improving Digestive Health and many more.

Legally and medically, there is no definition for superfoods, but they were named that way by the health food lovers to distinguish because they really are nutrient powerhouses.

it is important to know that everything in life is about Balance. The reason I say this is because many people eat one or two superfoods on top of their poor diet and have unrealistic expectations, thinking that they are protected from some chronic conditions. They need to be eaten along side or in alignment with a healthy conscious diet. When I say conscious, I mean being completely aware of what are your putting into your body every day and having a loving relationship with your food.
